United Airlines may not accept responsibility but will ANOTHER airline accept responsibility? Was there more than one airline involved in this?

I'd call the President's office at United, and at least talk to someone in his office and find out WHY your claim was declined. It sounds really funny to me the whole encounter with your luggage.

I would also send a letter certified mail again to the UA corp headquarters, which is in Chicago.

Have you tried www.flyertalk.com for more suggestions. Those folk travel for a living and would probably even have some specific names for you. There is a specific board for United Airlines.

Also get intouch with the Airline Passengers Association, and you can find the number by doing a Google search.

This complaint needs to be targeted to the RIGHT level within United, emails and calling lower level management will continue to frustrate the problem.

Good luck.
