Looking for a hotel in Sebring, FL area

We are going to visit my in-laws who live near Sebring, Florida. My father-in-law is ill (which is why we are going), so we plan to stay in a hotel. Does anyone know of any nice, reasonably priced hotels (under $100/night) within about 20 minutes of Sebring? I don't know the area at all but my husband says there's not much around there. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If you'll check tripadvisor.com, you'll see that Kenilworth Lodge gets good reviews. It's well within your price range.

Isn't that near Okeechobee? Go to Paii.org and look for a B&B in the area. Also, BandBonline.com I think is another source.

I have some family around there, and I can solidly recommend Chateau Elan. It's really nice, very clean, and is convenient to roads.

Thanks for the recommendations. Neither of the B&B sites had anything in Sebring, and it looks like both the Kenilworth and Chateau Elan are pretty booked, so we'll see what we can get. But being a child of the 70's, I have to say this menu item at the Elan piqued my interest:

"Château Élan House Salad
A Mix of Mescaline Lettuce Cucumber and Tomato Garnished with Carrot Spirals and
Served with House Dressing. $3.50"

Sounds positively psychedelic! LOL
