Long Beach Island NJ After Labor Day?
We are planning on a long weekend next weekend at the Jersey shore. My daughter says that nothing (restaurants, stores, etc.) will be open on the weekend after Labor Day.
I was hoping someone here would have experience in the area and could perhaps let me know if LBI will really be a ghost town next weekend.
Thanks.

The first half of September is the nicest time at the Jersey Shore. Everything will be open-and if the weather is nice you will be in for a real treat! Go swimming in the ocean-the water temps will be about 72-74 degrees. I was in Long Branch today and water temp was 74. You will have about 3/4 of the traffic that is usually there, which will be even better.

no question the nicest time of year at the beach is sept. in NJ. water warm, the shops stay open to get the end of the season $$. Many towns plan special events to get folks to keep coming. things will be open and you should find some good deals.

Wow! Thanks, this is great news. I hope we have dry weather, because I am really looking forward to getting away for a couple of days. Maybe we can even get into the Mud City restaurant that always has a million hour wait.
Happy Labor Day.
Happy Labor Day.
