Lodging on the Monterey Peninsula

ISO a hotel or inn on the Monterey Peninsula
a. with a sea view
b. rooms with two beds (virtually every b and b and inn I have checked so far has only one bedded rooms)
c. need not be in town as we will have a car
d. under $200 per night during April
e. relatively quiet

Thank you.

Check out the Best Western Beach Dunes Inn in Marina... about 5 minutes from Monterey right on the ocean nature preserve... amazing location, yet close to the rest of the action...

I am not sure about the 2 beds, but this is one of our all time favorite B&B's and it is just steps from the bay and you can hear the waves!

Thank you, both suggestions look like nice properties. Deb, I think the bed and breakfasts are pretty much out because of the two bed requirement. The area has some lovely ones and Seven Gables looks great. It got a ringing endorsement from imaq and you, so it is on the list to try eventually. Maybe when I am traveling with DH we can stay there. Gary, I think the Best Western is a good possibility.

We recently stayed at The Clement Intercontinental in Monterey and had a good rate. Beautiful hotel, very quiet, right on the water, next door to Monterey Bay Aquarium. The only drawback is you pay for parking, but in April you may be able to find street parking several blocks away.

You could also check out the Embassy Suites in Seaside (close to Monterey).

Asilomar is fabulous. Just walking the grounds in the evening was breathtaking.

Thank you. The real stumbling block is wanting two beds in a room. Virtually every b and b has single bed rooms. Asilomar will not guarantee room configuration. The search continues......
