Lodging in Charleston, Hilton Head & Savannah

My husband and I are planning a trip to Charleston, Hilton Head and Savannah in mid April. We are looking for nice moderate priced B&B's, hotels or Inn's. Any suggestions?

Sue,
I have an ocean-view villa on Hilton Head - if you are interested, give me an e-mail.

I own a condo in Cape May, NJ that I rent out through a vacation rental by owner web site. They have hundreds of listing all over: http://www.vrbo.com. Other good sites are http://www.vrr.com and http://www.oceanfrontproperties.com http://www.vacation-properties.com. Hope this helps.

In Savannah for something in a smaller, elegant place try either the Ballastone Inn or the Gastonian. For a nice but larger place the Mulberry Inn is very nice(it's actually a Holiday Inn but you'd never know it). In Charleston the Vendue Inn is very nice as are the John Rutledge House, King's Courtyard Inn and the Lodge Alley Inn.

In Charleston I recommend the Meeting Street Inn. Good value, great location, nice rooms (rice beds), big outdoor hot tub, wine and chesse in the afternoon, turndown service with chocolates and buffet continental breakfast (mini muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. Always a cold glass of lemonade available in the lobby. Handy parking first left after Hotel there is a reasonable parkade.
I have a link on my site:

Sue - make that trip to Charleston after the tour of historic homes which ends I think April 17th. Everything has been booked in Charleston for months. I would try Savannah instead.
