Thank you, Faina and Paula, for your trip reports! I'd been thinking of taking the grandkids to Traintown and your description, FA, is the final needed encouragement! The kids thank you in advance.
Glad you clarified your TR title with the parenthetical (Sonoma area report), as my first thought was that soft and ticklish lips and 2 gals referred to some naughty movie you're planning.

Sad news. Get a box of Kleenex before reading it.

I am an idiot. Took the new camera to 2 GTGs. At home, instead of rewinding the film, clicked on the wrong button and opened the camera. Now it’s official: no GTG pictures.

I have to think positive. I have to think positive. There will be other GTGs. Can we please duplicate the ones I’ve so tragically lost?

Faina, if you closed it back, go ahead and rewind and try to get developed. That has happened to us more times than I care to admit, but the photos taken first, on the inside of the roll - so to speak - may not be exposed.

Speed, yes, I did rewind, and developed, and the family pictures came out... but not Fodor's

Oh, so sorry! What a bummer.

If it'll make you feel better, we have done a number on a lot of our photos. We destroyed our oldest's h.s. graduation photos doing the same thing you did.

I'd say that's the best thing about digitals, but on a CA vacation when they first came out, one of our DDs erased all the photos accidentally while editing out the ones she didn't like on the flight home.

NO digital for me, an electronically challenged person. I want to try film-to-CD version...

Walgreens put whatever's left of that film on a CD for me... UPSIDE DOWN! And they tried to convince me I can rotate them at home! Tough luck! THEY rotated and saved it for me.

When I buy something I want it ready to eat, not ready to bake

Tried to send a photo e-mail from work, darn, I need some Walgreens program for it! I'll try at home, if not working, I'll try to scan some photos myself at Kinko, just for experience.

I needed something from this post, and discovered 2 things.

1) searching for something, we don't need the last 3 years if remember words from the subject line

2) how easy it is to forget what I posted, some lines look like somebody else wrote this
