Lively sports bar in Chicago

Does anyone out there have any recommendations for a lively sports bar in or generally close to Rush Street & Michigan Avenue in Chicago?

Gosh, David, where to begin?
The possibilities are limitless but if you're a first-timer I'd recommend a few places:

1) Harry Caray's. Believe it or not, has pretty good food too.

2) Michael Jordan's. Tourist trap, sure, with awful food. But during any sport season is a GREAT place for drinks, people-watching and catching a game on the big-screen TVs.

3) Anyplace in Wrigleyville. Cubs fans will never let you have a bad time.

ESPN Zone also just opened. I haven't gone there though, so I can't say whether it's good or bad. It is an option though. Cubby Bear's directly across from Wrigley Field can be fun.

There are tons of places in Chicago. When you get to town pick up the local free paper The Reader. If you are looking for a place with decent food and tons of TV try Joe's on Weed St/North Avenue. ALso there ate many places by Wrigley Field and Lincoln Park. Have fun.

stay away from rush street - it's been full of nothing but tourists and distant suburbanites for about 20 years

if you want a sports bar with natives - go to wrigleyville
