Little Rock, Arkansas: anything to see for 1/2 an afternoon?
Is there anything to see in Little Rock if one has a few hours. Looking on the internet, there doesn't seem to be anything except perhaps Central High and the State Capitol. Any museums? Anything special to buy?

Depending on your interests, there are quite a few things to do. The Arkansas Arts Center has wonderful revolving exhibits and also houses one of the most highly acclaimed collections of drawings in the country. It's closed Monday.
If you're a history buff (or even if you're not), the Historic Arkansas Museum offers a glimpse into life in AR before the Civil War. It's a lot more interesting than it sounds!
Nearby in the Riverfront Area - where the Clinton Presidential Library is being constructed - there's a Museum of Discovery (I haven't seen it yet and think it may be geared more to young people) and a variety of shops and eateries.
Also in the same general vicinity is the Old State House.

My sister works at the Old State House, in Little Rock. She's always telling me about cool exhibits that are featured there.
The Territorial Restoration was a fave of mine, when I lived in Arkansas. It's been re-named and is now called The Historic Arkansas Museum.

Hiroshi, I forgot to ask. When will you be in Little Rock? And when you say 1/2 an afternoon, exactly how long will you be there?
Knowing those two things might help people in their suggestions to you.
