What is the beach and water like at LPI? I've read mixed reviews. The facilities, however, seem to be outstanding in all regards. Welcome any comments.

The place it UNBELIEVABLE! Just beautiful and service is outstanding! The beach area is small (like most of the Keys) and the water around the island is shallow.

Not much of a beach but stunning otherwise.

The beach was not much to speak of. But, the service, rooms and food are great!

beaches all along the keys really are nothing. In fact, they do not exist for most of the keys. This is a fallacy kept alive by pictures of palm trees and sand in the keys brochures.

Little Palm is a lovely resort however and unless you are a beach bunny you will not miss it. Go out on Florida Bay in a flats boat and pole through the water and try bone fishing.
