I admire Lea's honesty in identifying herself as a member of the media. We've all seen the posts that we're sure are just some reporter's research, but couched in the disguise of an traveler looking for personal advice
Lea, there have been several posts about this in the past month, buried under all the silly "FODORS WHY DON"T YOU DO WHAT I WANT" posts. Use the search feature on the forum page just using the word Disney. The posts come up with the newest first and work backwards so you don't have to look at anything too ol for your purposes

Teach: Don't you know that Disney's Public Relations office isn't going to give her the real answer. Lea is looking for the truth from real travelers and this is an excellant place to get the real answer.
Lea: You may also wish to try posting on the Frommers travel forum.
Good Luck.

I'm sure Lea is doing her research, but don't we all come here to look for the personal touch in information? I sure as hell wouldn't use information from here by itself, but would you,for example rely only on a mapquest report that a certain drive takes 2 hours without learning from other posters that it's more like 4 with all the extra traffic, or that there's a a better, more scenic route? Calling Disney's corporate office isn't going to give anyone the whole picture of what's going on, only the corporate spin.
Give Lea the benefit of the doubt and check Forbes and forbes.com in a couple of weeks to see if any of our "Help" got used.

Okay. Here's a real answer - believe it or not!
My husband just got back from a conference. Hotel occupancies were at 17-20%. The Swan is closed and they've moved all reservations over to the Dolphin. No dinner reservations are required in restaurants. If you go right at 7
m, you may have a short wait. Ride lines are practically non-existant.
Many, many hotel and restaurant employees have been laid off, and remaining staff are doing double-duty roles.
