LilMsFoodie is off to NYC.....eeeeek
well, I was there once many years ago during a slowdown and have been there during Christmas season and huge snow storms so this seems doable. It's just that I'm flying into JFK not LGA which I am more familiar with for New York trips, at least.
Not wishing to brave finding four souls to cab it in, I've booked something called Airlink. Anyone with any experience. I booked it to the hotel, Marriott East Side but plan to get off at Grand Central and hoof it if it is stopping at every hotel in town.
Anyone there experiencing this right now? Actually, I think it might be exciting. Well, I am 4 blocks from Grand Central and I'm off for Greenwich by train on Sat. a.m. I think my timing should be pretty good. Any thoughts for me?

karma is afoot! I just addressed my trip of a lifetime post to you Scarlett. I will be in NYC tomorrow afternoon. A visit to St. Patricks for my late husband and a little shopping before I meet some family hopefully for dinner at Bar Americain.

Have never used Airlink but it's got to be better than Super Shuttle. My understanding is it offers door to door service. If you were planning to get off at Grand Central, the Airport Service Expres Bus costs a few dollars less and only stops at Grand Central.
Bring warm clothes, it's very chilly. Best wishes for a peaceful and healthy holiday season.

LilMsFoodie,
On CNN they just mentioned that the gothamist.com is helping people figure out different ways to get along the city. You type in where you are and where you want to go, and it provides you with different, non-subway/bus routes.
For instance, it provided a doubledecker bus route instead of mass transit.
