What is the best way to go about getting stand-by tic for both of these shows. I've read conflicting things. One says to stand in line prior to show and another says to call a number morning of show. Help!

I was in New York end of August for the first time and my husband and I happened to walk by the entrance to Letterman on a Wednesday at 5:30. There was a lady standing outside with clipboard. We asked her what's going on and if we answered trivia question correctly we got tickets. WE DID. Anyway, on Sunday before we left we also saw the same lady outside again!

Where is the entrance to the Letterman. please?

The entrance is Ed Sulivan Theatre.

Re: Letterman, the Ed Sullivan Theatre is at the corner of Broadway & 53rd St. You would probably get more valuable info from the www.cbs.com website than you could here.

We have been able to twice get tickets to Letterman by going to the Ed Sullivan at 12:00 on show day and begging....answering trivia....begging some more. They are really very nice and realize that you are a fan or you wouldn't be there. Also, the tape two shows on Thursday so your odds double. They pass out line numbers for people holding tickets at noon...that is why we went then. Good luck...hope you get in. It is great fun!!!!
