Large doses of Oxycodone ;-). hehe. I'm recovering from surgery--which is why I couldn't get back sooner. But it mustn't be too far away because I just received the notice that the balance is due in a few weeks for the condos reserved for my wedding!
louistraveler, we'll be there at the same time! The beginning of my trip will be teaching at the Kauai Music Festival (www.kauaimusicfestival.com). If you're a music lover, the concerts are awesome -- and open to the public. It'll be at the Marriott Courtyard near Kapa'a this year. One night is all Hawaiian music and I've heard some incredible artists there, but I don't think they've announced the lineup yet. It would be great to say "hello!" I'll arrive the night of July 27th.

Songdoc, I can't believe after all this time we will finally be there at the same time!
You move to Princeville the day after I leave. When you arrive on the 27th, where will you be staying...the Marriott where the festival is held?
The night of all Hawaiian music sounds fun! We will have to see what our week is like. I don't know how busy the festival keeps you but perhaps we can say "hi" outside of the festival.
We should find time since this is a rare occurrence...
!
We have 81 days to figure it out!!!

The Wyndham Bali Hi condos were very nice but....no real ocean noise.

AMAZING scenery when you get out to Haena/Ke'e Beach at 0

I finished the 8 mile walk in 2:05 and The Lovely Mrs Kal ran it in 1:22.
A VERY GOOD TIME was had by all!
