Lei Greeting at Honolulu Airport
Can anyone suggest a company that does lei greetings at the Honolulu Airport? We are visiting (not a package) and I would like to have that "hawaii" experience. I have looked on the web, there are many to choose from, but I don't know a thing about any of these companies!

For What It's Worth:
If you REALLY want the true Hawaii experience, then I would NOT do the Lei greeting. Lei greetings may have been the 'thing' 30 years ago, but not today.
I have been to Hawaii twicw within 3 yrs and never once did I see anyone at the airport greeted with leis.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago, for my parents who were traveling to Honolulu.
I ended up booking with Aloha Friends, and I was very happy with the service they provided - very personal. My parents were thrilled! And, since it was their first time in Hawaii, happy to have a guide take them through the gardens in the airport and then to the car rental area.
And, even though not everybody is greeted in the airport, on my recent trip to Maui I have to admit I was a little disappointed not receiving a lei and watching others being welcomed.
Have fun!

When we moved to Hawaii years ago, we were met by friends with leis and it was a wonderful experience. You smell flowers the minute you step off the plane and the leis are kind of a natural extension of that. Even if I had to use a greeting service, I would do it to get that wonderful feeling again.

Angela - Don't let Anthony discourage you. We go to Honolulu frequently to visit relatives and my son almost always greets us with leis, even though he personally is allergic to most flowers up close. The lei greeting never gets old and we miss it those times when we can't be met. Also, we have never been the only visitors in the baggage claim area happily wearing leis. We have also stayed at a couple of hotels in the Waikiki area that give us leis or a stem of a local exotic flower when we check in. It makes the standard welcoming Aloha greeting even more special. Go for it!
