Leaving on the 26, too early?
We're leaving for NH on the 26th of sep to see the fall colors. I'm getting nervous that it'll be too early to catch any colors?
We can only postpone our trip a week later. Will that make a huge difference??

You might catch some color in northern NH but will see more a week later. NH was due for a frost last night but I have not checked to see if the temp. actually dipped low enough to get the color going. Color usually peaks around the first week of Oct. and then moves south. The shoreline areas are the last to change since the ocean moderates the night-time temps. The Cape marshes will begin to change soon, but leaves may not fall until November due to the ocean's warming effect.

Actually, this one may be more accurate. The 26th might be just the right time.
