Laurel, MD to Washington, DC

Attending a graduation in Laurel, MD & wondering if there is good public transportation from there into DC. Can anyone help?

Kathy, I believe you'd catch a MetroBus in Laurel that would connect you to the MetroTrain in New Carrollton to go right into D.C. Maybe someone local can be more helpful...... Haven' been there for awhile!

So, the subway system doesn't go out to Laurel? Is there somewhere near Laurel (like a middle ground) that would have better transportation into DC?

Maybe this will give you some help........ As I recall, you must catch a bus to connect to a train, going in from Laurel.

KathyM, are you driving to Maryland? A good location, maybe, would be College Park or Greenbelt...... You could ride the train from there into D.C., and drive the 10-15 minutes to Laurel. Have you driven in the D.C. area traffic before???
