In July, I purchased tickets to Penn and Teller on www.lasvegasshows.com. The site said I would receive an email confirmation. When I realized I hadn't, I called the box office at the Rio and they didn't have our name and said that this has happened to a number of people. The web site is "temporarily unavailable" and I can't find a phone number. I called my credit card company, closed the account and put the charge in dispute. I also called the LV police.

Thanks for the phone numbers etc. I called two of them with no success (one just rang and the mailbox on the other was full). When I called the Police, I was connected to the Fraud Dept, gave them the info, he said "thanks, I'll give it to the computer department." He didn't want my name or anything.

I also purchased tickets from this company in August 2004 and when I arrived in Las Vegas on September 5, Harrahs would not honor the tickets I bought for Clint Holmes. The website is "temporarily" not available. I reported this to my credit card company and the Las Vegas Better Business Bureau.

I think we have been scammed.

I purchased tickets through travelnice.com. to see Elton John. Has anyone ever used this site to purchase tickets. After reading the previous coments Im a bit nervous. The tickets are supposed to be delivered to our hotel. I know now to purchase tickets directly through your hotel or ticketmaster.

marykc: I can't help with any info on travelnice.com; however, it caught my eye when you said you were going to see Elton John. I remember on the Freaky Friday post, you said you were going this week. I think we missed our chance to have a Las Vegas Fodorite GTG. You are the 3rd Fodorite I know of who is going to see EJ in the next few days. I wonder how many more there are that we don't know about?
