Las Vegas - Spa Mandalay
I will be traveling to Las Vegas in October/01 and staying at Mandalay Bay. I have read several messages where people say they were given passes to Spa Mandalay. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get some free day passes. Any other information on the hotel would also be very much appreciated.

I received free passes to the spa, but they expire July 31st. I got mine by taking advantage of a special on their website, but I think it's about over now. We never did get a chance to use the spa, so we may go back again next month. We just left Mandalay Bay yesterday, so if you have any specific questions, let me know. By the way, the pools were great.

Deb,
Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on the web site. Did you feel like the
hotel was too far down on the strip? How was the food? Any recomendations?
I am very excited about the pools. Before I booked I had to call the pool
and make sure that it would still be open in the middle of October.

Tobey,
I would have prefered to be closer to things, but our primary reason for staying there was the pool. If you plan on running around a lot, be prepared to take taxis or multiple trams. There's one that goes from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur, then you'd have to walk to get to the next one to work your way up the strip. As for food, very good, but if you're looking for a buffet, you must go to the Rio. Unbelievable! Hope that helps.

We got our free MB Spa day passes as a special through a friend who is a frequent stayer.
The spa is first class -- very nice.
I definitely thought that MB was too far down the strip. We like to visit lots of different casinos & it is a trek to go anywhere from MB. But the pool is great.
I loved the Brazilian mixed-grill at the Rum Jungle restaurant. It turns into a popular dance place at nice so if you time it right, you can go from dinner to dancing without paying the cover or standing in line. you need ot check out the neon bikini-clad go-go dancers on the trapezes ( I kid you not!)
