meredith> before things get "nasty"...and judging from past posts to the same question, it will..let me give you a few ideas...
The Hitlon has the Star trek experience which they might enjoy...
Luxor has some neat attractions,,3D rides and such,,great arcade..
Excaliber has a nice area for the kids..
Circus circus has a indoor park for kids,,however,,not the best part town..
The Forem shops at Caesars are nice.

My two children were in Las Vegas for thanksgiving and had a good time. They went to see NY, NY with its rollercoaster and the stratosphere with the drop and went to see the outside shows at some of the casinos. They went to the luxor and then went to an imax show. They had a great time just walking around and seeing the sites.

Meredith, Blue Man Group at the Luxor. They rock!!! Check out Blue Man Group website. My husband & I thought it one of the best shows we've seen in Vegas. Worth the ticket price! Treasure Island pirate show (free) also cool. Fire, explosions, etc. Stratosphere a must see for teens also. Only 48 hours? Sleep when you get home!

Since prostitution is legal in Vegas you will want to make sure a hooker teaches your boys all about sex and what to do with their teenage girlfriends. When they are finished with that, take them to the casinos and show them how to lose their hard earned money. The house does have the advantage after all. Make sure they see a xxx rated show and learn how to do shooters. Then they will be real men that you can show off to all your friends.

Just goes to show how much some people do not know about Las Vegas. To the above poster..prostitution is not legal in Clark County where Las Vegas happens to be. Just once again proves that people like to respond when they know nothing about the topic! Meredith if you have the time drive down to Primm. It is about a 40 minute drive from Las Vegas. One of the best coasters in the country is there. Your kids will love it and you will enjoy the outlet mall there!

Thanks to all the helpful repliers. The last message about Primm raises the question: should I rent a car? Although we are flying in, we are leaving LV by RV after our 48 hours. Is it more of a hassle to be without a car, or more of a hassle to return a rental to the airport, then returning to the hotel to pick up the RV?

I was just there for 3 days with my 10 & 13 yr olds. They loved the race to atlantis ride at ceasar's palace. It's kind of a virtual reality, universal studios type ride. Ceasar's also has these moving statues in their mall area which do a bit of a show during the day. We also saw Mystere (cirque du soliel) at Treasure Island which was great and the pirate show outdoors in the evenings (which is free). We did have a car, we continued on through arizona afterwards. The hotels are huge. Just to get to the hotel next door seems like blocks away. parking is free at hotels. We stayed at the Mirage. it had a great pool, but it was too cold to swim when we were there. We also did a 1/2 day trip to Hoover Dam while in LV. There's also a nice acquarium at Mandalay bay. Mirage has a lion/dolphin habitat. The dolphins played catch with my kids (with big rubber balls) for about a 1/2 hour. my kids had a blast playing with them. The guggenhiem at the venetian currently has a special motorcycle exhibit your boys may enjoy. i don't know how long it runs for. you can probably find out on the venetian web site.

Some of the people on this board are so rude! Las Vegas is great fun, just walking around checking out the resorts is entertaining. Take your boys to Gameworks which is across the street from the Monte Carlo hotel and near to MGM Grand, its a high tech video arcade...its very noisy though so be prepared.
