Las Vegas

We're taking a girls soccer team to LV over Thanksgiving. Since we will not be gambling and do not need to be on the Strip, what is a good cheap hotel?

Caty- You may find that the rates over Thanksgiving are better in the properties on or just off the strip. Because the locals are visiting relatives elsewhere, you might try the San Remo, Excalibur, or Imperial Palace. They will be fighting for the reduced tourist buck and, barring a convention or major event, should have some decent rates...good luck.

there are a couple nice courtyards and residence inns (marriotts) off the strip, but close.

you can get deals on the strip...all kinds of things for the kids to see and close enough to walk....check travelocity for prices..and some have internet specials...or Hard Rock is great --not on the strip...Bellagio fountains, pirate fight at TI.volcano at Mirage, camals at Venetian...rain at Aladan..NYNY,,coasters....etc

An excellent place off the strip and quite inexpensive is the Alexis Park Resort. It has beautifully-manicured grounds, several outdoor swimming pools, is a family place, and is known to be prefered by many headliners who just want to be away from the hustle and bustle.
