Lake Tahoe Accomodation in June

I will travel with my elderly parents to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite in June. I would like to find cabin or Condo accomodation on West shore of Lake Tahoe and in Yosemite.

Any suggestions?

For Tahoe:
I've been looking at places in Tahoe for May. I've come across some good choices for vacation rental homes at www.VRBO.com. (Houses are so much more comfortable than hotel rooms, especially for older people.)You can narrow down your search by area/neighborhood.

Once you find a listing that looks interesting, you can 'make an inquiry', which prompts you to fill out a 'form' with your preferences, and sends an email to the owner of the property. The first time you do this, it stores your request and re-submits the same information each additional time you 'make an inquiry'. It makes the whole process easier for multiple inquiries, and puts you into direct contact with each owner. I found a nice, lake view, 3br house for $150 per night, that I will most likely book later today. They also have some sort of 'guarantee' program (see the web site).

Good luck! I hope this information is helpful.

We always stay on the west side of the lake. To make my cabin rental I use www.enjoytahoe.com. They are great.

How long are you staying? Your best bet for Yosemite, usually is to stay right in the valley - at Yosemite Lodge, or the Ahwahnee if you want to splurge, or camp curry if you want to rough it a bit more.

Thanks for the info. They are very helpful. I did not have time to work on the trip for nearly three months. Hopefully, I can still find a nice place.

Anyone have stayed in the following rental properties:
1/ Carnelian Woods, Carnelian Bay
2/ C'est La Vie Sunny Setting Condo, Kings Beach

Thanks
Jacqueline
