lake powell? spa/golf?
we're visiting AZ in october for the first time. spending 3 nights in prescott valley with family, 2 nights at the canyon, then we have 3 nights to plan. we were thinking lake powell for one or two - either staying in a hotel and renting a boat for the day or maybe bringing camping gear and pulling up on a beach for a night or two. are the water levels too low for that?
we could just visit lake powell for a day/night then head to a spa for pampering and golf. any suggestions for spas that won't break the bank?
what are the must sees? we want to work sedona in there for a night as well.

When in October? I've been in early October and the weather is perfect! Warm and sunny, but I've been told by Snow Birds that by the end of October it gets very COLD!
The low levels of the lake have opened up many beaches so finding a campsite shouldn't be a problem. I know houseboats camp all the time, I don't know the rules for rental boats. Just be aware that this is a large lake with as much shore line as the coast of California, Washington and Oregon conbined so you won't be seeing much with one day. Two nights might give you enough time to get see Rainbow Bridge National Monument and a few of the other canyons.

We were there on our anniversary which is Oct. 8 and the weather was warm and sunny. Late in the month is when I've heard it gets cold.
I'm not sure how long the ride to Rainbow Bridge was. It took us about an hour or so just to get thought the 12 miles of Antelope Canyon. Then we went swiming, had lunch, explored a few canyons..one of which was the one for Rainbow Bridge, but you have to take a 1 1/2 mile hike to see it because the lake is so low and it was to late in the day for that. DH and I have seen it twice and BIL & SIL weren't interested. Besides it was HOT in August when we went that time.
We camp so I have no recommendations. There is a nice campground at Wahweap Marina with showers if that interests you.
The 1/2 day float trip on the Colorado River is a lot of fun. The Upper Antelope Slots Canyon is about a 1 1/2 hour tour and well worth it. There is also a short hike to Horseshoe Bend which is also well worth it.
