Juls, A lot of people on http://www.BiddingForTravel.com have reported getting this hotel/resort via Priceline.
Several of them posted their enthusiastic impressions of the place at this Web address:

Conde Nast Traveler just rated La Cantera as the second-best resort in the U.S., so it sounds like a winner.
It'd be nice if you could be guaranteed of getting this hotel/resort when you bid in the appropriate zone in San Antonio on Priceline, but that's not the case, unfortunately. A lot of people using Priceline got rooms here for very little money, but others ended up getting some other hotels in that Priceline zone.
Anyway, I hope the Web address above tells you what you want to know. If the address doesn't work for some reason, go to http://www.BiddingForTravel.com, go to the Hotel Reviews section (pretty far down the main page), and then click the topic that includes Texas hotels. Then click the link for the La Cantera reviews.
I grew up in San Antonio--it's a wonderful town, and you'll have a great time. Enjoy!

My wife and I spent a weekend at La Cantera and I'd say it's as nice a hotel as you can find. Great pools, restaurants, beautiful views, golf course etc. And on a nice day youi open the windows. What a concept for a hotel. Not close to the riverwalk though.
We're going back for sure.
