Korean Restaurants in Chattanooga or Knoxville
We will be visiting family in southeast TN in a couple weeks and we're especially interested in (authentic) Korean restaurants in the Chattanooga or Knoxville areas. We'll actually be in between (Cleveland, TN).
We adopted a boy from Korea last year (there's a post somewhere on the forum about our trip to Korea) and like to eat at authentic restaurants when we travel.
Thanks!

I found reference to a place in Chattanooga called Seoul Restaurant, but I can't locate a website or a phone number. Anyone know anything about it?

Just bumping this up at the last-minute to see if anyone else knows of any good authentic Korean restaurants in southeast TN.
There's also Knoxville, which is about an hour away.
Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your questions, but I am going to a Korean restaurant for the first time on Tuesday (11/18/08). Can you suggest an item or two we should try. We aren't vegetarians, but we especially like dishes that feature fresh vegetables and are low in fat.

I don't know a specific restaurant to recommend in ATL but the Buford Highway area is home to many authentic Asian restaurants including Korean. I know I've read good reviews in the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper of Korean restaurants on Buford Hwy. Buford Hwy is just north (parallel) of I-85. Chamblee is the town that Buford Highway runs through as it heads out to Gwinnett county.

You're welcome, happy trails.
Thanks, padams, for the advice.
Part of it depends on which direction we go. Chattanooga is closest, but we could travel north to Knoxville or south to Atlanta while we're visiting family. While in either of those areas, we'd like to eat at a good Korean restaurant.

TribeLeader, I found a web site that may be helpful to you: http://www.koreanrestaurantguide.com/index.html
I like the descriptions of Korean food. The restaurant guide may be in need of up-dating. The Korean restaurant to which I'm going tomorrow isn't listed and one restaurant I checked turned out to be Japanese, not Korean.

Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it for future use.
I blogged a little about the restaurant we ended up going to (the one in the article I linked to above), although it's more about our experience there rather than the food itself.
