Kona-fish cook-restaurant

My husband is going fishing in Kona. The company said that they can not ship anything back to the states, so if/when he catches something what do we do with it?

The company said they would filet it. Is there a local restaurant we can bring it to that will cook it?

You can try this restaurant:

Years ago, I think they would cook your fish for you, but I'm not sure.

We went fishing once and caught an ono, which the ship captain was happy to keep.

Or could he just grill it himself?

Well, that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish! Ha Ha.

You could take it to the Kona restaurant, couldn't you?

I would think that Kona restaurants get this request all the time, and some can accomodate you. Ask at the Kona Inn.

I wonder if there are some Health and Safety regulations for food service in Hawaii that would prevent restaurants from preparing and serving food customers bring in.....
