Thanks for the heads-up! Did they mention the specific blackout dates?

Can you give us a little more info?
I am unable to get a special rate at any I am testing.
Possibly you can cut and paste the email text?
Or a link?

I've been trying different hotels and all say that the code is not available for that date. The dates I'm choosing are not in blackout dates listed.

I'll keep trying, though. Thanks for posting this!!!

Thanks for the link, vjp. However, like BeachGirl, I'm told that the code won't work for my dates even though they're not blacked out. Perhaps this is one of those e-mailed codes that just isn't transferable.

Aha! I had been entering the "ONE" under "promotion code" but it should be under Rate code.

Well, I'm glad I didn't miss it then
I wanted to see if I could beat my current rate at the Muse.

The link worked for me just fine... I booked Hotel Monaco in Portland, a king suite for 164- early in january.. just one night. We're going to Portland to visit friends and just staying one night downtown to shop and go to Powell's!

Thanks to 1JAR for alerting me... although I did get the e mail in my inbox after I read the post here.

onemoneygirl--The Monaco is great! Even though we live here, we have stayed there several times for events in downtown. I hope you have a great trip here

Thanks for the recommendation mms... I've heard so many great things about it on this board over the past years... so I jumped at the chance. I'm happy to visit and stay with friends for three nights... as long as I have my shopping fix and get to try out the hotel!

I'm troubled that so many others weren't able to take advantage of the sale.

I love Portland and am greatly looking forward to the trip!

onemoneygirl--The restaurant onsite if really good too (Red Star Tavern). Their signature drink is one of my favorites. Keep an eye peeled for celebrities too. We were in the elevator one time with a very tall man. When we got out I mentioned his height to DH, who told me who it was. Some famous basketball player, lol!
