Kihei Dinner with a view

Off to Hawaii in 3 weeks.Looking for a nice little spot on the ocean to have dinner our first night. After a very long travel day starting at 3:00 am we would like to go somewhere for drinks and a light dinner where we can relax before crashing to bed! Would prefer to stay in Kihei as we are at the Hale Pau Hana and don't want to make the drive to Lahaina.
What about Ma'alaea Harbour anything there? Thanks to all

The Five Palms Restaurant at the Mana Kai Maui, right on the Kihei-Wailea line. Magnificent sunset views there ...

Maui Surfside has a nice restaurant on the ocean, and it's close; just down the road (south Kihei).

In Maalaea I like the harbor view from Buzz's Wharf. Fun to watch boats come and go. I've eaten at the Waterfront Restaurant. There is no view from inside. In fact, I thought it dark, outdated, and overrated. Five Palms, which was suggested already, is one of my favorites. For something more casual, Lulu's is great! It's upstairs at Kalama Village. Open air, with views over Kalama Park to the ocean.

I noticed that you are staying at Hale Pau Hana. All the condos there are on the ocean and the views from the lanais are terrific,
We grab mai-tai fixings and dinner across the sreet the first night we stay there. There are lots of dining choices within 3 minutes walk from Hale Pau Hana.
We usually take out from Da Kitchen, lots of local specials.
Back on the lanai, good drinks good food, at a fraction of the price with unbeatable views.

Sarento's on the Beach is another great place. It's right next door to the Five Palms Restaurant. We were there last month and dined at both places.

I recommend highly the tiger prawns at Sarento's and the Mahi Mahi in lobster sauce at Five Palms. Yummy!
We have enjoyed many wonderful meals here.

Have a fantastic time!
