Keystone or Copper?

There were more people skiing at Copper last weekend that at Vail I thought, as I was at both places.
Copper has a "village" feel - small, walkable; there is a mini bus also to get you around. There are a few restaurants, shops, a chocolate place, a nice health club/tennis/pool; pizza, and a market that has the basics. If you want a food store, there is a Safeway in Frisco (about a 12-15 min ride).
Keystone is also about 15 min away.
And, no, all rental cars do not come with racks. HINT: be sure the windshield washer fluid is filled to the brim in that rental. You use alot of it on the ride back to Denver if that's the direction you're going!

Off the topic, but the previous comment on rental cars made me think. Check for chips in the windshield before you accept the car in Denver and report it if there are any. Two times ago, I returned the car after having driven a total of maybe 30 miles and had to fill out an accident report for chips in the windshield that the normal human would not have noticed. Now, I just have them note it and will continue to do so with each trip I take.
I love Keystone by the way, but Aspen is the best. Keystone gets you access to A Basin as well. Never been to Copper.

Anneo, can see you are still looking for info. Keystone and Breck are about 10 minutes from each other with a really easy drive between the two. If you stayed in Keystone you are certainly close enough to check out the town of Breck which many people love. Copper mountain is about 20 minutes (or less) from Keystone but you have to hop back on I-70 and head west a little further. It has been awhile since I've been to Copper but they just don't have the same sort of Town feeling that Keystone and especially Breck have. I always think of copper as just a ski place but don't get me wrong, they do have a small village with hotels and condos. At least the good part about those three locations is that they are all close enough to explore.
I definitly would not say all rentals come with ski racks but I am sure you can get one. I would think at least most of the SUV's will have them, you just have to contact the car company first and find out what they have. And I agree with the windshield fluid. Make sure it is full. If you stuck in snow or the roads are wet/slushy it is no fun not seeing out of your windshield.
P.S. Have you done a search on here about locations and lodging? You should find some more info from previous posts if you haven't looked already.

Copper does not have much of a town. A small village area with a few shops and resturants. Keystone is slightly bigger, with more services available at nearby towns of Dillon and Silverthorne. Frisco is the closest town to Copper. Tjc has the times right about 15 min to Copper from Keystone.
Rental cars to not come with racks unless you requests them.
Not sure what else you want to know.
I personnaly prefer Keystone over Copper but others could easily argue the other way. Both are very good areas.
