Key West- Southernmost House "Charlie's attic"

I am looking to visit Key West in October & have booked a room at the Southernmost House in Key West which look adorable. The only problem is the room I booked- Charlie's Attic does not have any pictures posted. I am looking for anyone who has seen that particular room or stayed in the room to provide me with some honest feedback. The rest of the property looks great but I am nervous to not see any pictures of this space. I don't want to arrive & be greeted with spider webs.

It looks pretty teeny (but nice) to me...and only one small window.

Great picture--bathroom looks lovely. My only concern would be the slanting ceilings making it difficult to stand up in some areas--any chance you're short??

annael: Is that supposed to represent a spider's web?

Thanks for the info... I'm actually pretty tall, 6'1" but I think I'm gonna give it a try. I actually noticed the slanting ceilings too. It looks to cute to pass up & I'm used to having to duck for low ceilings (my family has a lot of those!) Hoping to bump my head as litte as possible!

annael, the room looks really cute, small, but cute. Write a report when you return! Also, include how long of a walk to Mallory Square....

cd- it's on the Atlantic, and Mallory Square is at the other end of the island on the bay side (Gulf of Mexico). How long the walk takes depends on how aggressively you walk.

Back from Key West, what a great time. I absolutely loved the Southernmost House. It is literally just a few steps away from the Southernmost Point buoy & there is public beach access at the Southernmost on the Beach which is right next door. It is located on the quieter end of Duval which was great because it was within walking distance of nightlife but than you could return back to your room for a restful nights sleep. I stayed in Charlie's Attic at the Southernmost House & was a little concerned with the slanting ceilings. No need to worry, the way the room is designed there was no bumped head except for the time when I wasn't watching where I was walking. Breakfast was good- it included amazing croissants, assorted pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese, various breads, OJ, milk, coffee & hot teas. It's quiet a walk to Mallory square since that is located at the opposite end of town but it still is within walking distance. Key West was truly a great time & I can't wait to go back!

OMG! I just connected the dots...and looked up at my wall!
Robert Kennedy's print of the Southernmost House is right in front of me! #1194 of 1500. I bought it in the early 90s in Key West.

Love your pics, starrs! Not sure which is more surprising, the number of things that have changed, or the number of things that haven't! I prefer the abundance of places that are exactly the same
