Greyhound runs service from Miami to KW, 1-800-231-2222 or try Airport Keys Shuttle, 1-800-689-3304. If you don't want to take a shuttle, Cape Air, www.capeair.com flies to KW from FLL and MIA as does American Eagle, Gulfstream, and USAir Express.
And yes parking is a pain.

You're thinking of the Bone Island Shuttle, which travels around Key West stopping at many of the hotels. You can check out their web site, and though I didn't see the Quality Inn listed as a stop I'm sure there must be one nearby. You could probably get rooms closer to Old Town for the same price and not have to worry about parking or paying for the shuttle.

John,
I have to agree with susan, you can stay in the heart of Old Town in a quaint old house for about the same money. Duval St., Mallory Square and all are easy WALKING distance. We were there 4 days, never drove or needed anything but our feet. Rent a bike or a scooter if you want mobility. I can recommend the Conch House bed and breakfast. It was truly great!

I stayed on Roosevelt a couple years ago, relying on the Bone Island Shuttle, and wouldn't do it again. If you plan on being out late, the shuttle's schedule won't be amenable to your plans, and it generally just runs contrary to Key West's laid back spirit to have to worry about catching a bus just to go between downtown and your hotel room.
