Kennebunkport or Prouts Neck

Iam deciding between the Yachtsman Lodge and
Marina en Kennebunkport, or the Black Point
Inn in Prouts Neck.....
Please I need feedback and suggestions of which of the two? thank you for advises...

I have stayed at the Black Point Inn; it is wonderful, but is more isolated than what I think the Yachtsman is in Kennebunkport. You can walk just about anywhere in K'Port; it's a bustling little town and depending on when you are going, can be very busy. Is the Yachtman on Ocean Drive, across from Chick's Marina?

Hi Anna:
THe Yachstman Lodge is in front of a Marina... but I don't know the name...
We are planning to go to different
towns and beaches from there...
Also we were planning to stay at the
B.P.I. for two days and the rest of our
trip (5) days in Portland at the Regency
Hotel..
When you say isolated.. you mean how
far from town?
Thanks Anna.

The Yachtsman Lodge is on the banks
of the Kennebunk River, on the Marina...
it seems like a very nice place... but
not with the luxury of the Black Point
Inn. Thanks for advise

There is a website for the Kennebunks Chamber of Commerce (both Kennebunk and Kennebunkport), but I don't see The Yachtsman listed under Lodging. However, I vaguely remember it being on Ocean Ave., across the one of the two marinas there. If I'm right, you can walk one way into Dock Square, the shopping area of Kennebunkport which includes a few restaurants, Ben & Jerry's, etc., and great shops, including Carrot & Co. At the BPI, you will need your car to do any shopping, etc. However, I should say that you probably can do all the shopping, walking, etc., you want while in Kennebunkport and Portland (I love the Regency), saving your relax time for BPI.

I forgot to say that if you walk the other way, opposite to Dock Square, you will get to the beach. And I believe you'll walk by a great place for breakfast called The Green Heron.
