Excellent....But a few of us longtime Kauai goers may disagree with you on liking The Blue Bible.
But it is funny passing cars where you can see the book on a seat all "post it" marked.
AND....I hope I'2 doesn't see the comments about Southerners....[-o<

Kal? Did you just pass the buck?
Again great photos Jarred and a wonderful trip report. I love that colorful turtle photo - what caused the orange glow?
I would like to invite you to my possible bubbwa bonfire in Hanalei summer of 2008 (burn your blue book with aloha) Search blue book, revealed etc here and at trip advisor and you will get an earfill of the negative thoughts regarding the authors integrity. As a fan of the authors and a wonderful trip reporter, you may agree or disagree, but I'm sure you would prefer to be informed.
Again - fantastic trip report. Mahalo for sharing your thoughts and amazing photos!

Thanks again for the comments.
Sistahlou - read some of the stuff you eluded to with regard to the "Blue Book." Thanks. I can see why many residents and long time Kauai goers would be outraged by the stuff in the book. Without turning this post into another thread on the book, I'll just say that I think there is a very careful balance that must be maintained between giving people this information and protecting the Kauai that all the "residents" love dearly. I'm not saying that the author stepped over the line (I don't have enough info to make that call), but I can see the arguments for both sides. Generally, I think freedom of the press and the disbursement of information are rights that should only be curbed in extreme circumstances, though. Whether or not such a circumstance exists in Kauai is open for debate.
iceeu2 - For the record - I love southerners.

Wow, that is one serious trip report! Well done! It makes me miss Kauai big time. We went for our 3rd trip in Jan. 2006. It is depressing to look at the pics b/c I honestly don't know when we will be back, but yet I have to think that it will be soon.
Thanks for sharing.
