Kauai North Shore Weather

I have heard different months from different people as to which months are drier in the North Shore of Kauai. Which months do have less rain?

Thanks.

Summer I usually go in August and it is fine. They tell you May till October is fine buy I have heard a fair bit of crying on this website. August has always been clear for me.

Has anyone been to the North Shore in Oct? I'm planning to stay at the Princeville. How risky is this?

Just returned from the North shore Aug.11-18 there was unusual cloudy skys and more showers than ususal on some mornings still had a wonderful time. We are fair so the lack of sun helped us get in more hiking,it was cooler. We still snorkled along with everyone else on Kakee, Tunnels, Queen's bath and hideaways. A grand time I think you will be sorry if you don't stay on North side. I use to stay in Kappa years ago,,,,ugh!!! Lost that cheap boyfriend. Condo rentals can be very reasonable in Hanalei where you are a comfortable walk if not right on the beach. Pville is nice but it always entails walking down some hill to get to the water.

Your best bet is one week north shore and one week west side. I want to go back to Maui and big Island but there is something so incredibly seductive about the North Shore of Kauai. The sunsets almost look computer generated on some nights complimented by mind blowing landscape. And I have to admit some of the stormy skys when countered by bright sun light produced that sharp smokey blue against bright green foliage that I have only ever seen in Ireland and Scotland. So it is all how you look at it dalink, enjoy!!!
