Mike, I bought the book, "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook." It is very informative and gives detailed maps and directions for drives around the island. It also has complete lists of accomodations, restaurants, and things to do. There's lots of web sites out there, too. Try visit.hawaii.org - I don't remember, but I think this is where I ordered a free Kauai Vacation Planner on line. If not, it might be planet-hawaii.com. There's plenty of links to everything. I think the planet-hawaii site has a link for vacation rentals, too. Or try kauai-vacation.com for rentals. Specific to the sunny Poipu area is poipubeach.org (or maybe poipu-beach.org). Whatever you decide, be sure to make time for a helicopter ride on Kauai - it's a "must do." Have a fabulous time!

Get the "Ultimate Kauai Guidebook" as mentioned above by Andrew Doughty and Harriett Friedman (Wizard Publications). It may be the only source of information you need. www.wizardpub.com
