Wishing you a wonderful sunrise on your travel back day! Wishing the roosters crow all night long and the seabreeze is gentle and fragrant. Wishing you chirping gekos eating the mosquitos.

Thanks again for so many good suggestions and good wishes. I wish we could have done all of them.

But we got to hamura saimin and had udon and saimi. And bought a whole chiffon pie back to the house. Delicious!

Our rubber boat ride to napoli coast leaving from the south was a bumpy wet adventure, a little too long on the bumpy wet part. We saw a bit of the coast but had to turn back after a bumpy wet hour because of rough seas.

Today we have to drive kids to the airport and take the car back at 6pm. Maybe time for another beach. Maybe not. It's not easy to leave paradise.

Now look into the light and say after me

"It's dark, it's rainy, there are bugs and psychotic roosters. There is traffic, there is no nightlife , the food is terrible, and if you turn your back on the ocean you will be fish food. Maui mo bettah. Maui mo bettah.

If you heart Kauai, send your friends to Maui.

LOL inakauai!

Ah, another trip is needed. And it won't be Maui.

We're home. Thanks to all my new kauai friends, most of whom seem to think other people would be happier in maui.

Our last day we had one last kayak paddle to the beach, a little swim, lunch at Bouchons in hanalei (good fish and chips), visit to a waterfall near the airport, and a looooong plane ride.

Mahalo.

We still haven't made it up to Bouchon's. Can't seem to make it past Chicken in a Barrel or Puka Dogs!

We always leave something to come back to...further the research.

Thx for the reports.

Fantastic to partake in your journey. Did you Cast Away Franklin for future generations of foolish families, spending their hard earned krugerrands, that visit the hellhole? Proof that it doesn't take a couple of Franklins to have fun, just a Lincoln and some change. Thanks for the entertainment.

Hey Kal, did you ever perfect the rooster sauce spiced rooster jerky?

Reading through this thread and I'm not sure what to think - traffic, mozzies and loud roosters everywhere and people like this place?
