Kailua-kona 1892 monument
We traveled to the Big Island last year and I took hundreds of pictures. The trouble is that sometimes I don't remember the meaning of the photo. In this case, it is a monument in the parking lot of the Coconut Grove Marketplace where Outback Steakhouse is located in Kailua-Kona. "1892" is engraved in this mound of stones, which is less than 3 feet high.
I've attempted to find information online, but to no avail.
Does anyone know the significance of this monument?

Here's a map of some historical markers in Kailua-Kona:

Zoom in and click on the pointers to get a description of the marker.
None of them are close to the Outback, which is south of all of them.
