My husband and I have reserved rooms at both the Sheridan Kaanapali and the Westin Kaanapali for our trip this January. Could someone please give us opinions on both? We are open to other suggestions as well. We have been to The Big Island (Kona & Hilo side) and Oahu (both Waikiki and the N. Shore). We are looking for water activities in Maui and some nightlife (dinner, etc.). We are also looking for a nice resort with amenities and a good weather spot. Opinions are greatly appreciated!

Westin is the poorer choice of the two.
You want the SHERATON.

Sheridan is a city in Wyoming.
Are you referring to Hawaii or Wyoming?
There are no Sheratons in Sheridan, however.

I was not impressed with the beach in front of the Westin. The Sheraton beach is great!!!! Some people have posted that the Sheraton is too crowded with too many children. I went in late June-early July and did not find that the case. Perhaps because the beach is so huge! Enjoy!

You definitely want the Sheraton. We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was great.
