Barbara,
The weather, food and accomodations were wonderful. Since the property has only been open since July everything is brand new.The employees, in true R-C style, fall all over themselves to please.
The only thing to be aware of is there is nothing happening on Key Biscayne proper. However South Beach, Miami, Coconut Grove, etc. are only 15 minutes away.

Well...Because it's a beachfront property it doesn't have the same feel as say the R-C in Buckhead.
To me, however, this is a good thing. Great pool and beach lounge furniture, two beautiful pools and a nice Spa.
I'm beginning to sound like their ad agency...

Just back from RC KB, was there for week of Christmas with 2 kids and wife. Here's my synopsis and rating (1-5)
Rooms - 4.5 - We had a suite which was beautiful and large, on par with other Ritz locations I've been to. We also had a connecting regular room for the kids, that room was nicely decorated, however a bit small for a standard Ritz room.
Grounds - 4.5 - Beatiful pool and grounds, the beach is nice although they could spruce up the sand a bit.
Service - 3.5 - The bellman and front desk people are great, however the housekeeping needs to move a lot quicker, we came back from the beach one day at 4pm and the rooms had not been cleaned.
Food - 4.5 - Didn't really eat much there, but what we had was excellent, good poolside BBQ.
Definitely worth the money if you can afford the high prices, much better and quieter than staying in Miami Beach. Definitely plan to return. Feel free to email any specific questions.
