Just Back from Hard Rock Hotel Orlando!!

Hi,I just got back from the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando and it was great! We got a Super-stretch Limousine with Tiffany Towncar and it was worth every penny to see the look on my relatives faces when they saw it!! Excellent service and great Limo! The Hard Rock Hotel lobby was empty when we arrived for check-in at 2:30pm Wednesday.Everyone was friendly and helpful. They gave us an upgrade to Pool View. The rooms are large and the beds are VERY comfortable. The music throughout the hotel was great.I wasn't sure if I would like rock music piped through the hotel constantly but they played old and new! It added to the great atmosphere of the hotel. The pool was
huge. It was only 4 or 5 feet deep at most but that was fine with me.It was nice to come home from the parks and cool off in.I even went down the slide quite a few times! I even watched grandmas come down the slide and they enjoyed it too!! We also enjoyed Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.Went on all the rides! Some two or three times! We
went to Margaritaville,Hard Rock Cafe, and Pat O'Briens for dinner.
All had great food! Also went to Mythos Restaurant. They had excellent food and all of them had excellent service! VERY reasonable prices.
If anybody has any questions (in case I missed something)please write and ask!

Thanks for the report. When we were there the new hotel was not quite finished and I was curious about what it would be like...since Lowes is involved I had no doubt it would be good. One thing we found interesting is that we thought that the Margaritaville at Universal was excellent and is better than others we have been to and is much better than the original in Key West!

Hi Louie,We did not see the Royal Pacific Hotel but we did walk over to the Portifino. The only thing I found impressive about it was the pool.I hope the new hotel is going to be more like the Hard Rock than the Portifino. The Portifino is too quiet and I don't think the grounds are as impressive as the Hard Rock's. Yes,Margaritaville had good food and service! It was a little difficult to hear over the loud music but even that was OK too!

The HRH is so nice that all of us Orlando locals are clamoring for special rates just to check it out!

And Portofino may be too quiet for some, but my family and I love to sit out by the water sipping Bellinis (which were invented in Venice) and feeling just like we're in Italy!

Hi Celeste,You should check out the Hard Rock Hotel! Try Hotel Kingdom.com for some good rates.I found the Garden View for $119.95.
It's fun for kids and adults enjoy it too!

We also loved the Hard Rock Hotel. One of the best things was being able to walk to the parks so easily. Also the all day express line access was FANTASTIC!!

Gail,We also liked the easy walk to
Universal Studios,City Walk, and Islands of Adventure. There is a boat from both hotels that go back and forth to those places. We took it one day and it was nice. They leave you off at City Walk.Right in the same location as US/IOA. This was my first trip there and can't wait to go back again. Also,we took US Airways and all our flights and getting through airport security went fine.I like the stepped up security. It's worth the wait.
