Juried Show

One my photographs has been selected to appear in a show judged by a curator from the Guggenheim. The exhibition will be held in the Civil War era warehouse at the end of Van Brunt Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Unlike other shows I will have only one piece. Approxiamtely 1,500 images from all over the country were submitted and approximately 135 were chosen.

If you can attend, we will be there on March 12 from 1-6.

Thank you

Thank you.

I have a nephew to thank for helping me get into this show. For his first freshman assignment at NYU, he had to write about an exhibition at the Guggenheim. Mrs. Adu and I volunteered to go with him. When I applied for the show, Mrs. Adu said that I should Google the judge and see what he has curated. Sure enough, he curated the show we had just seen and I sold out and submitted work that I hoped would appeal to his sensibility. So if my nephew was not spending $500,000 a year to attend NYU, I would not be in this show.

Thank you. This is one of the rare times you want to be found guilty.

Congrats, Adu! I've put the opening in my calendar. It will be interesting to try and determine which of the 135 is yours. Will you be carrying an orange bag?

Thank you.
I hope you will stop by. I will contact Fodor's and see if they will forward my e-mail address to you, so I can provide the particulars. The show will hung salon style, so I will not know where it is hung until I get there.

Thank you.

At this stage of my life, I usually do not get excited about things, but this is different and it is exciting.

As for my nephew, he is very serious for his age, perhaps too serious. He is in a very selective program called The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. I often encourage him to act bad, much to his mother's chagrin.

I miss posts, joyous or premonitionary. I caught this one by coincidence (not chance) because i was posting on the Illinois forum and could see the name Aduchamp on the left. struck a bell, which tintinabulated and i sort of remembered.

Are we talking of old passport photographs or the quick ones you have taken in a booth?

I have been keeping all my passport size identification photos since i was six, do you think that i can enter some of the better ones in the next contest?

Since i am not competing against you, i wish you all the coincidence (sorry, meant chance or luck this time) of winning. I witnessed how hard you have worked lugging that heavy camera and equipment over thousands of miles.

Thank you Other.

I am sorry I neglected to inform you of the show.

Your passport photos have been the source of dogs barking and women fainting. And if there is ever a contest of passport and driver's licenses photos, I will contact you post haste. I am sure the judge of that comepetition will be a patient of Dr. Kevorkian, if he wasn't beforehand.
