I work with a group of people who liked Joe's Crab Shack and were upset when it closed in Durham. I think the hepatitis outbreak at the Durham JCS might have had something to do with the closing. These people like Cracker Barrell and On the Border too.

I don't know why they always want to go to On the Border when there are better, cheaper, authentic, and closer Mexican restaurants.

We have one of these in Charlotte as well & the prior posters are correct. I believe the one here is considered 'fine dining' by the Hooters & NASCAR crowd. Truth be told, it is not cheap, the food is just OK & the atmosphere is catastrophic.

Thanks, Joan, that was really interesting! "Frozen" is such a dirty word, but I see now that it's not that simple.
