Jersey Shore

Looking for information about Ocean City, New Jersey and surrounding area. Tidbits on things to do, places to eat, etc.
Thanks

I'm a local. I like the beach at the North End.
Around 1st St. Big beach, bathrooms for the kids
& North End Grill for cheap burgers, fries & water ice. Check out the Cape May Park & Zoo it's worth the trip about 45 mins down the Parkway to Exit 11 (I think). You can picnic, play and see lot's of animals for just a donation. Historic Cold Spring Village is a working farming village set in the 1850's. Just the right size if you have small children. It's in the same area as the zoo & you
can take a train and trolly from OC to each place
and back. Cheap too. Think it goes by the name Seashore Lines.

You may want to check out Cape May. Utterly charming. Lots to see and do. Spectacular restaurants and night life. Fabulous shopping. Take the ferry to Delaware. Then, bus to Rehoboth.

I agree with Donna, Cape May is a must. Charming county with beautiful victorian homes. Great beach, and wonderful restaurants. Definately worth the trip. We try to go at least once a year.

Have fun.

I went with friends last May on a mystery trip, we loved the area. Definitely see Cape May ( Tulips all over in Spring), go to the Lighthouse nearby, drive up the barrier islands to Ocean City. leave plenty of time to walk the Boardwalk (lots to do) , lots of good seafood, we asked the owners of the Barnagate B & B for suggestions.
