Jazz - sausalito/tiburon
Planning a trip to San Francisco area. Was thinking of staying a couple of nights in Sausalito or Tiburon to get ocean views & take ferry into the city. But DH wants to see some live Jazz .
Are there any clubs in Sausalito or Tiburon?
If not, plan B, stay in the city. Any suggestions for hotels on the water or with views? Price under $400. And any suggestions for jazz music?

It has been a few years but we loved the Inn Above the Tides in Sausalito. It was a bit pricey for us but the room was great, views were wonderful and the ferry is nearby. In other words, it was a good splurge.

Yoshis isn't really a jazz venue - they do have jazz some nights, but its pretty eclectic, and now changing (see article).
The jazz center is fantastic. We saw a wonderful program there in the 100-seat "lab". Even the main auditorium only seats 700.
