Thanks for the tips bkluvsNola and Callaloo---I will definitely print out the lineup. I hadn't thought about getting to and from the fairground so thanks for mentioning that. I admit that we have planned very little for this trip--kind of exciting though.
I'm betting that even if we do make it in to one of NO's top restaurants (probably at 10:30), the food highlight will probably come in the form of a po'boy..Looking forward to sampling a Natchitoches too...and I'll pride myself on saying it correctly. Is that "nak-a-tish"?

I was there the first Saturday and the second Friday and Saturday. It was a blast! The crowds on Saturday were unbelievable. The weather had a lot to do with it, I'm sure, but the Acura stage was packed by 1:00pm in anticipation of Bon Jovi. I hadn't seen that many people at Jazz Fest in a few years. Of course it rained the past 2 years.
