Planning a honeymoon for end of May to the Jackson Hole/Yellowstone area. Any lodging suggestions and must see attractions?

You are going to Yellowstone and the Tetons with little idea of what is there?
I really don't know how to respond because both are National Parks full of attractions.
Do you want to stay in the parks themselves? In that case you may already be too late for the better rooms in Yellowstone.

Stay at least one night in Old Faithful lodge. You won't get reservations the first time you try, but keep trying. Romantic.
Rent a car. Do whatever comes to mind. This area will be a great place to honeymoon. Have fun!

It may be too late to get lodging in Yellowstone (but keep trying. Who knows, you might get lucky.) But there are tons of places in Jackson. Spring Creek and the Rusty Parrot are two I'd put in the romantic catagory. Spring Creek is set up on a hill overlooking the Gros Ventre and you have a direct shot of the Tetons. The Rusty Parrot is a funky little hotel, with their own spa. Also, if possible, try to get into Jenny Lake Lodge in the Grand Teton Natl Park. Cool place.

Just completed a trip in September to Yellowstone and the entire area. Flew from Nashville, TN to Billings, MT and rented a car - drove 1761 miles - saw Old Faithful 3 times - absolutely fabulous. Make sure you see the Geyser basin. The Grand Teton, overall, is probably more spectacular than Yellowstone. Jackson Hole is a resort town - quite upscaled and a bit more snobby - but I would return there. Lots of quaint sidewalk type cafes and specialty shops. Take lots of film and some panoramic cameras/film. This is a fabulous area and I would return there in a heartbeat - probably the most fantastic scenery I have experienced. Make sure you check out the scenic byways drives - search this on the web. Good luck and have a wonderful trip - I'm jealous!!!!

In Jackson, you may want to consider a stay at Wildflower Inn, a romantic and very lovely property. If interested, I know Inn has a website.

Jackson is a great little resort town. We usually stay there for a few days after we do the national parks. It's a good place end your trip because they have several four star hotels to pamper yourself after staying in pretty basic National Park motels. As someone said earlier, the Tetons has the most spectacular scenery. Se sure to stop at the chapel of the Transfigurations just inside Teton NP for a spectacular view. Jenny Lake Lodge is wonderful, although a little pricey. I believe that meals are included though. If you like rustic, try Signal Mountain Lodge. It's directly on Jackson Lake. I'd recommend one of the log cabins on the lake. They have wonderful porches where you can watch the sunset over the Tetons. Be sure to take the launch across Jenny Lake for the great hike past waterfalls and up to a panoramic view. Take OFF and a citronella candle that time of year.

Our family spent the last week of May /1at week June this past year in the Jackson Hole-Yellowstone area. A great time to be there. We spent 2 nights at the Wildflower Inn and the remainder of the trip in a rental home in Teton Village. I concur with the previous posts from J T Kirk and Sal. They have mentioned some great places to stay. We had dinner at Old Faithful Inn ( so-so food) but stayed at the Old Faithful Snowlodge. It is within walking distance of the Old Faithful Inn and a very nice place to stay. Dinner one evening at Jackson Lake Lodge was a real treat. Even if you do not stay at Spring Creek Lodge, go there for a horseback ride. The scenery on the trail is unforgetable.
