Isle of Palms, Charleston question.
Having decided to spend 9 days in the Charleston area, 7 in a Condo in Wild Dunes on IOP, and 2 in Charleston itself, then up to NYC, I have a question. A colleague of my wife mentioned 'Senior Week' and to watch out for it on SC beaches. I'd never heard of this but now know what it is. I'm assuming ( correctly, incorrectly? ) that somewhere like IOP is not where High School kids choose to go. BTW we are in IOP from 3-10 June. Is it even an issue or is it Spring Break lite.

Not an issue. Homeowners, rental companies, and hotels will not rent to anyone under 25 years of age and heavily discourage house parties. The rental management companies don't think twice about evicting house parties with no refund.
That will be a relatively quiet time around here. Northern schools aren't out yet.
May I ask where your wife's colleague is from and how on earth they would think that?

Well, they're staying somewhere, 'cause all the kids I know of go to the beach (usually Myrtle) after graduation. (unless they can con Daddy out of a trip to Cancun or somewhere) How would a hotel know? Your Dad makes the reservation.
But for the OP, i doubt Wild Dunes will be covered in spring-break types.
