Another vote for buying cheap coach tickets and upgrading with FF miles.
You really get more bang for your buck by using FF miles to upgrade.
I try to by discounted cheap fares (even internet fares) and use my miles to uprade.
IT's a long flight annd your honeymoon will be more memorable if it starts out from NYC in Business or First Class.
You will feel special right from the beginning of your trip.

I think using FF miles to upgrade makes more sense if you are single, however with a family look at it this way:
3 tix (LAX-OGG) cost around $1500-2100.
That's how much my family is saving. Considering I use points for Hotels, those FF savings represent my entire out-of-pocket for the trip.
Yes, the best pure $$$ value is upgrades (in terms of how much a equivelent ticket would cost), but 100% FREE is the best deal of all, on pure economic terms.
