Is United going to strike?

I flew United on 7/20 from Seattle to San Francisco. Now I understand all the discussion by the employees amongst each other regarding "votes, etc." and their very prominent union buttons.
I know understand why they were so apathetic to 4 hour plus delays on every flight. To quote the friends I was visiting in SF, "I HATE UNITED."

Sadly, the possibility of a delay is something that those of us who fly frequently are well aware of.
Not to sound flippant, but unfortunately there is not a whole lot that you can do about it when there is a delay. Most of the time an airline won't compensate you or put you on another flight if it is weather related. Sometimes, if it is for a mechanical problem they will try and make life easier. But, don't bet on it.
I think Tim's comment sounds reasonable. Hopefully, the President will not allow an airline strike in the middle of summer.
All I can say if, try not to worry about. Think about the fun you'll have when you arrive, not problems that may or may not materialize on your flight.
