is this possible
next year we want to fly in direct from uk to vegas and stop about 3 nights - move on to Grand C. then on to Flagstaff. My query is this?
1) Is it possible to take a small flight from LV to GC Lodgings - then either hire a car from GC or carry on to Flagstaff via small aircraft?
2) Can anyone recommend any companies that do this? They all appear as round trips back to Vegas, which is not what we want - plus don't really want to hire the car till at least when we leave GC. It will be last week in Oct next year.

or You can fly from LV to Flagstaff on America West and then drive to GC.
or you could charter a plane if cost is no object.

This website lists all your airport options with drive times to the GC.
Yes, you can fly a private plane to the GC airport.
I am pretty certain that the charter flights operating in and out of the airport are for sight-seeing purposes.
The site also gives you shuttle info to and from Flagstaff.

Just a caution...you do not charter a "private plane," you charter an air taxi. There are companies at Las Vegas just waiting to take you wherever you want to go. Many people consider a plane with propellers, no flight attendant, and no restrooms, as beneath consideration. I spent most of my flying career taking people just like you to places with no airline service, and they were happy to pay for the ride. In many cases, they were Boeing executives.

Should have included this in my original reply...scroll WAY down until you get to FBO's.

lynn -- not sure who your reply posted at 8:06am on 10/27 is directed to but...
Did you click on the link for scenic airlines that I had? They have scheduled, commercial flights from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. I believe that is what you original question was pertaining to. The fares seemed pretty reasonable too.
See my post of 10/26 at 2:59 pm. for the link.
Hope this helps...

All I can say is, a family member with a private plane would not choose that routing. (LV - GC - Flagstaff) I hope it works for you lynn100.
Maybe one question that would help us understand your choice in this routing would be "Why Flagstaff?"
