The blue marlin is a dump of a motel. Don't eat before you go out on a boat or you will get sick.

Everyone ignores Willy and, as another poster says, thinks he's a buffoon. His rantings make me WANT to go to Key West! The funny thing is that this poor soul thinks he's doing people a favor.

Actually it is a motel and a bit run down. The location is good. The rooms are nothing special and are in need of major updating. I guess it all depends on what rate you got. As far as the glass bottom boat - It is very common to get sea sick on them. You get dizzy very fast looking down through the glass. Kids on the boats, who eat all the snacks and junk, are usually the first to "toss their cookies". Do a back search on this board and on the AOL travel board for the Keys and you will get a lot of info on things to do.

The Blue Marlin is probably acceptable, but since it's on a street and blocks from the water, you won't believe you're in Key West while staying there. I hope you got a great rate or I'd keep looking.

If you go out on the water, take a Dramamine or Triptone pill before you go. It won't hurt and may just save the trip if you would get seasick otherwise. I'm on boats several times per year and still NEVER leave a dock without having taken a pill first!

Jameson:

All that I can tell you is that it is in the AAA book, which means it does pass their test for quality. It is $89 off season. I stayed at a one-star AAA motel in Niagara Falls, Canada and it was clean.
